A quick way to test it would be to just take off the cat, and drive it around the block (but be warned, it'll be VERY loud). If the problem goes away, it's almost definitely the catalytic converter. If you live in a state that doesn't require you to pass emissions tests, you might just put a straight pipe on instead, otherwise a new cat will cost at least $700. i have a problem ... All this is dependant on the apex seal actually coming off the apex of the rotor, most don't they bend or chip little bits, so worse case scenario... full rebuild for a renesis would be about $3800 including labor in Aus. @CRich4321 If you ... My car 230whp (1yr ago that I recorded the dyno vid) it has close to 350whp now on my 60 trim. However 230whp at 1800lbs is .127 pwr to weight. The focus at 3000lbs and 360whp is .12 so I was accurate with my comment. Now with 350whp at 1800lbs my pwr to weight comes out to .202 which is almost double your pwr to weight. So I would say my car is twice as fast as yours and my brain apparently can do math.. @aliencurv Well ... IF you do the math for a 3000lbs focus at 360whp it comes out to about .12 soo I guess I'm fairly accurate on my calculations but thats just using the dyno video I have for proof of 230whp. The 25r line provides the most options of all garret turbo sizes.
